The past few months have been filled with a lot of drama to say the least. I have recently gotten divorced. It was finalized on July 22, 2009. Crazy thing....if you don't have kids you are subject to a 90 day waiting period from when you file to when your divorce is finalized. If you have kids you can take a class and your divorce can be final in a week. I think that's weird. It's like they want you to try and work it out if you don't have kids but if you do who cares!
The divorce was something I initiated and yet it was still the hardest decision I've ever made and really hard to go through and deal with.
My ex, David, is a great guy and I still love him and care about him. It just wasn't working for me anymore to be married to him, but I wish him the best and hope he finds his happiness.
So I have purchased a house in PG and moved in about a week ago. Jason moved with me and so far we are LOVING it! The yard is so peaceful and relaxing. It's been fun to get organized and put stuff away and start thinking of how to decorate. Harley is still adjusting, but he seems to be doing alright. Yay!
My confession for the day.....I'm addicted to farm town on facebook. Haha! It's such a huge time suck but it's so fun!

Random
I'm super excited because I decided to give my notice and quit working at the gas station...yay! I gave a 2 week notice that turned into a month because someone was going on vacation and it would be easier on everyone if I stayed till she got back. Not a big deal. Don't get me wrong....I've enjoyed working there for the most part. The people that I work with are tons of fun and so are the customers. I am just burned out and looking forwSo I just have to say that I am hopelessly addicted to Cadbury Mini Eggs! I'm sure within the last month I have purchased a whole case of them. I have an open candy dish on my desk and pretty much I'm the only one that eats them. They are one of my fave candies. Mmmmmmm :) One reason to look forward to Easter!

Rockin' Good Time!!
So on Wednesday night.....3/18/09.....me and my sisters (Brenda, Angela, Emily) went to the Thriving Ivory concert at the Murray Theater. I have to say that it was a pretty cool venue for a concert. It wasn't too crowded and it was kinda small so you could actually see the
band pretty good. They had 3 opening bands!!! I haven't ever been to a concert that had 3 bands open for them. Because of that it ended up being kinda long.....but totally worth it. It was general admission so we were standing the whole time except between bands and my lazy ass pulled up the floor. The first band is from Utah, Salt Lake I think and they were called Mury. We all pretty much liked their music.
The second band was called Company of Thieves and they were from Chicago. It was a chic singer and she had a unique and awesome voice. Not really my type of music tho
ugh. She was awesome on stage though. Even though I didn't love their type of music I thought she was fun to watch and she really got into it.
The third band was called of State of Shock and they were from Canada. The picture on the left is of them. WOW! I really really really liked them. Brenda was the only smart one who brought money into the concert so she purchased their CD. We immediately uploaded it to our pods and I've been listening to them non stop since....haha! The lead singer of this band was really good at getting the crowd involved and was a lot of fun too. During on of their songs called "Too Pretty" he laid down on the stage and put his head in his hands. It fit the song and was funny.
Finally......Thriving Ivory......the band we were there to see!!!!!! The singer of this band has an awesomely unique voice. I love it! I've been loving their music for a while now and have one song as a ring tone on my phone. It was so much fun because everyone was so excited when they came on that they were rockin' out harder. Their most popular song is called "Angels on the Moon" and when they played that everyone screamed in excitement. I love going to concerts. It's just a fun environment and sometimes makes me like the music even more. After the concert was over we hit Denny's because we were all starving! We were so deaf that we were kinda yelling just to hear each other. It was a good time. I'm glad I have sisters that have the same good taste in music as I do!!!!

VD...haha :)
So I don't really love Valentines Day. In fact, it's my least favorite holiday. I call it VD cuz it sounds like how I feel about it...haha! I kinda just feel like you shouldn't need one day to express how you feel about the ones you love. And there is so much pressure to make it all romantic and cute and I hate that. Plus, Valentines day really sucks when you are alone because there is so much focus on it being such a romantic holiday. So....to everyone I love...I love you no matter what day of the year it is!So....I took the opportunity to mark Valentines Day as another event. I quit smoking on Valentines day. I've done really good so far. I'm hoping that it continues to be easy for me. I figured that it'd be easier to quit while it's cold outside still cuz I hate being cold. So wish me luck with my new adventure! Haha!

Mid-Life Crisis?

So I think I've recently freaked David out a lil with my behavior. Have I already hit mid-life enough to have a crisis? Haha! I am just way excited cuz I got a new tattoo and I love it! It's Harley's paw prints. I got an ink pad and printed his paw and then we shrunk them down to have this cute new tattoo! So they're his real paw prints :) I love it! The other picture is of Harley laying in front of the fireplace. See...he is the cutest!

Halloween
Arizona
So....back in September....Lisa, Jesse, David, and I took a trip to Arizona. We had to detour to Moab to drop my foster boy off for a home visit and that made the drive seem ten times longer! It kicked our butts! On the way down we stopped at the Grand Canyon.
It was different than I expected and seemed like a let down. Of course that could be contributed to my pissyness from the long drive! Haha!David's sister Andrea and her family live in Arizona and Jesse's brother, Claye, lives there as well. He was out of town so we didn't get to meet him, but he let us crash at his place, which was really nice. Plus he had a really cute dog that we got to hang out with while we were there. You just had to remember to leave your bedroom door shut because he was obsessed with chewing things he shouldn't chew...haha! We had a pretty relaxing time while we were there. We froze in the pool the first night we were there, went shopping, went out to dinner and played games with Andrea and her family, and Lisa and Jesse went to the M
iami Dolphins game (the whole point of the trip). It was Andrea's birthday the weeken
d we were there so we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. They have awesome rolls...yum! After dinner we went back to their house and played a game. It was about getting to know the people you are playing with. Since Lisa and Jesse and Andrea and Cory didn't know each other they were at a disadvantage, but they
did really well at
guess each other's likes and dislikes. One of the days Lisa tried to get frisky with a cactus at Claye's house. She didn't realize that it would get frisky

back! Haha! While we were in Arizona, we had people from out of state coming to look at our house. My brother Dale, our realtor, was also on vacation in California. So it was pretty crazy that after looking at the house, they made an offer on it and neither of us were in town to handle it with ease. We had to do everything by fax and phone and email. It all worked out but made some of the time kinda stressful.

On the way back home we stopped at the Four Corners. There were quite a few people there. You had to wait in line to get your picture taken. Then there were all the little booths that you could buy jewelry and other souvenirs. Overall it was a fun trip. Next time I just don't think I could brave the detour to Moab and I'd want to stay

longer.
