Mid-Life Crisis?

So I think I've recently freaked David out a lil with my behavior. Have I already hit mid-life enough to have a crisis? Haha! I am just way excited cuz I got a new tattoo and I love it! It's Harley's paw prints. I got an ink pad and printed his paw and then we shrunk them down to have this cute new tattoo! So they're his real paw prints :) I love it! The other picture is of Harley laying in front of the fireplace. See...he is the cutest!

Halloween

We finally figured out what to be for Halloween this year. It was a blast! I got David's pants and shirt at the DI. The funny thing about his pants are they are girl pants and don't have any butt pockets. Need I say more?! We all looked smokin' hot!

Arizona

So....back in September....Lisa, Jesse, David, and I took a trip to Arizona. We had to detour to Moab to drop my foster boy off for a home visit and that made the drive seem ten times longer! It kicked our butts! On the way down we stopped at the Grand Canyon.
It was different than I expected and seemed like a let down. Of course that could be contributed to my pissyness from the long drive! Haha!

David's sister Andrea and her family live in Arizona and Jesse's brother, Claye, lives there as well. He was out of town so we didn't get to meet him, but he let us crash at his place, which was really nice. Plus he had a really cute dog that we got to hang out with while we were there. You just had to remember to leave your bedroom door shut because he was obsessed with chewing things he shouldn't chew...haha! We had a pretty relaxing time while we were there. We froze in the pool the first night we were there, went shopping, went out to dinner and played games with Andrea and her family, and Lisa and Jesse went to the Miami Dolphins game (the whole point of the trip).
It was Andrea's birthday the weekend we were there so we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. They have awesome rolls...yum! After dinner we went back to their house and played a game. It was about getting to know the people you are playing with. Since Lisa and Jesse and Andrea and Cory didn't know each other they were at a disadvantage, but they did really well at guess each other's likes and dislikes.

One of the days Lisa tried to get frisky with a cactus at Claye's house. She didn't realize that it would get frisky back! Haha!

While we were in Arizona, we had people from out of state coming to look at our house. My brother Dale, our realtor, was also on vacation in California. So it was pretty crazy that after looking at the house, they made an offer on it and neither of us were in town to handle it with ease. We had to do everything by fax and phone and email. It all worked out but made some of the time kinda stressful.

On the way back home we stopped at the Four Corners. There were quite a few people there. You had to wait in line to get your picture taken. Then there were all the little booths that you could buy jewelry and other souvenirs. Overall it was a fun trip. Next time I just don't think I could brave the detour to Moab and I'd want to stay longer.

Wow...time flys!

So it seems that it's been a while since I've posted anything. Haha! This is why I'm no good at blogging. Anyways, here's my update......
Lisa's birthday was in August on the 24th and we celebrated by going to the Bee's game. It was a good time. She got an awesome birthday gift by moving into her new house the day before. We're so excited for them! This picture is of Lisa and Jesse in Cancun. I'm so lame and it's the most recent picture of I have of her...so there you go!
Brenda's birthday was also in August, on the 26th. My mom came to see her at the office and wanted to take her to lunch....of course I went with. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to eat at PF Changs...yummy lettuce wraps. Anyways, for birthdays, all the sisters take the one out to a movie or bowling and ice cream. So Brenda chose to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. It was pretty cute, but I remember liking the first one better.
Emily has recently gotten engaged. After dating Kaden for about 3 weeks they decided they were in love and he proposed. I don't think they've set a date for the wedding yet, they were planning to wait till she graduated from High School. I have mixed feelings about her being engaged, but I'm trying to keep an open mind. Her birthday was on September 5th and Brenda threw a bbq & cake party down at their house for her the Saturday after. She spent 90% of the time out in the driveway in Kaden's truck. He doesn't seem to want to get know Em's family...which bugs me. It was weird celebrating her birthday basically without her. Haha!
My sister Rebecca and her kids came to visit from Kansas the end of June. That was a blast! Brenda and I quickly realized how great it is working where we do since we closed the office almost every day she was here so we could go to the park, swimming, the dinosaur museum, and out to lunch with her. It was great! It's been a while since the kids had seen us and surprisingly, they weren't as shy as expected. They were cool about giving us all hugs and kisses. They grow and change so quickly and it's hard when they live out of state and you miss so much. Rebecca's birthday is July 19th, so we threw her an early birthday party while she was here. It was so much fun to have them visit and I'm glad they were able to come.

The Boys

So....here's a little something about Jason and Jared. They are the twins that live with me as foster kids. They are actually David's cousins, but we didn't really know them that well till they moved in. They are such good kids, with some minor rebellious exceptions. Haha! Jason (on the left) is working doing home hospice care and going to school for massage therapy. Jared is currently looking for a job. He has a daughter that is almost 2 years old named Makaya. She is adorable. Jason has lived with us for 3 1/2 years and Jared has lived with us for almost 3 years. I love them both to pieces and feel lucky to have them in my life.

I'm here :)

I didn't think I'd ever do a blog...but here I am. I'm bored at
work today (although I have plenty to keep me busy). I
always hate the days after a Holiday. I always have lots to
do, but I lack the motivation.
