King Of Anything Lyrics
By Sara Bareilles
Keep drinkin' coffee
Stare me down across the table
While I look outside
So many things I'd say if only I were able
But I just keep quiet
And count the cars that pass by
You've got opinions, man
We're all entitled to 'em
But I never asked
So let me thank you for time
And try to not waste any more of mine
Get out of here fast
I hate to break it you babe
But I'm not drowning
There's no one here to save
Who cares if you disagree
You are not me
Who made you king of anything
So you dare tell me who to be
Who died
And made you king of anything
Oh (oh oh oh)
Oh (oh oh oh)
Oh (oh oh oh)
Oh (oh oh oh)
You sound so innocent
All full of good intent
You swear you know best
But you expect me to
Jump up on board with you
Right off into your dellusional sunset
I'm not the one who's lost
With no direction oh
But you won't ever see
You're so busy makin' maps
With my name on them in all caps
You got the talkin' down just not the listening
And who cares if you disagree
You are not me
Who made you king of anything
So you dare tell me who to be
Who died
And made you king of anything
All my life
I've tried
To make everybody happy while I
Just hurt
And hide
Waitin' for someone to tell me it's my turn
To decide
Oh (oh oh oh)
Oh (oh oh oh)
Oh (oh oh oh)
Oh (oh oh oh)
Who cares if you disagree
You are not me
Who made you king of anything
So you dare tell me who to be
Who died
And made you king of anything
Who cares if you disagree
You are not me
Who made you king of anything
So you dare tell me who to be
Who died
And made you king of anything
Let me hold your crown, babe
Oh oh
Ah

Grrrr!
Well I figured it was about time for an update. I've almost forgotten about this damn blog. Life is the funnest, happiest, scariest, worst, saddest roller coaster ever.
In my innocence I was naive enough to think that when you decided to make a change in your life, people that love and care about you would be supportive. I have had a huge slap in the face in that department. News Flash: My decisions are made to try and better my life and make me happy. Don't take it personal.
My family has stood by me through my decisions over the last year and have been there through the thick of it. I am so grateful to them. I honestly don't know how I would ever have made it through. Brenda is my life saver.
Needless to say, things are going pretty good. I am dating a great guy named Cory. He is my best friend and so much fun.
Tax season is in full force and it has been a busy one. We usually have someone that helps us copy and assemble all the returns. Not this year. Emily has moved on to further her career in the nursing field and she's doing awesome! So Brenda and I are working more hours to compensate and try and stay on top of things.
Jason moved out in December. Emily had an apartment in Orem and she had just kicked her previous roomie out for not paying her share of the bills. So it just seemed appropriate to move in together. They get along pretty good. Things have been fine, but when their lease is up in June Jason has decided to move in with his grandma and Emily is moving in with our oldest sister, JoLynn.
I have had a few major family events happen lately. It has been really hard and scary. But they have brought me closer to the ones that are affected. I don't know what I would do without my family. I realize every day that they are the consistent ones that you can rely on no matter what. Friends come and go. I've also realized that sometime being comfortable is more important than you think.

Update anyone?
The past few months have been filled with a lot of drama to say the least. I have recently gotten divorced. It was finalized on July 22, 2009. Crazy thing....if you don't have kids you are subject to a 90 day waiting period from when you file to when your divorce is finalized. If you have kids you can take a class and your divorce can be final in a week. I think that's weird. It's like they want you to try and work it out if you don't have kids but if you do who cares!
The divorce was something I initiated and yet it was still the hardest decision I've ever made and really hard to go through and deal with.
My ex, David, is a great guy and I still love him and care about him. It just wasn't working for me anymore to be married to him, but I wish him the best and hope he finds his happiness.
So I have purchased a house in PG and moved in about a week ago. Jason moved with me and so far we are LOVING it! The yard is so peaceful and relaxing. It's been fun to get organized and put stuff away and start thinking of how to decorate. Harley is still adjusting, but he seems to be doing alright. Yay!
My confession for the day.....I'm addicted to farm town on facebook. Haha! It's such a huge time suck but it's so fun!

Random
I'm super excited because I decided to give my notice and quit working at the gas station...yay! I gave a 2 week notice that turned into a month because someone was going on vacation and it would be easier on everyone if I stayed till she got back. Not a big deal. Don't get me wrong....I've enjoyed working there for the most part. The people that I work with are tons of fun and so are the customers. I am just burned out and looking forward to having my nights and weekends off! Whatever will I do with extra time? Haha!
So I just have to say that I am hopelessly addicted to Cadbury Mini Eggs! I'm sure within the last month I have purchased a whole case of them. I have an open candy dish on my desk and pretty much I'm the only one that eats them. They are one of my fave candies. Mmmmmmm :) One reason to look forward to Easter!

Rockin' Good Time!!
So on Wednesday night.....3/18/09.....me and my sisters (Brenda, Angela, Emily) went to the Thriving Ivory concert at the Murray Theater. I have to say that it was a pretty cool venue for a concert. It wasn't too crowded and it was kinda small so you could actually see the band pretty good. They had 3 opening bands!!! I haven't ever been to a concert that had 3 bands open for them. Because of that it ended up being kinda long.....but totally worth it. It was general admission so we were standing the whole time except between bands and my lazy ass pulled up the floor. The first band is from Utah, Salt Lake I think and they were called Mury. We all pretty much liked their music.
The second band was called Company of Thieves and they were from Chicago. It was a chic singer and she had a unique and awesome voice. Not really my type of music though. She was awesome on stage though. Even though I didn't love their type of music I thought she was fun to watch and she really got into it.
The third band was called of State of Shock and they were from Canada. The picture on the left is of them. WOW! I really really really liked them. Brenda was the only smart one who brought money into the concert so she purchased their CD. We immediately uploaded it to our pods and I've been listening to them non stop since....haha! The lead singer of this band was really good at getting the crowd involved and was a lot of fun too. During on of their songs called "Too Pretty" he laid down on the stage and put his head in his hands. It fit the song and was funny.
Finally......Thriving Ivory......the band we were there to see!!!!!! The singer of this band has an awesomely unique voice. I love it! I've been loving their music for a while now and have one song as a ring tone on my phone. It was so much fun because everyone was so excited when they came on that they were rockin' out harder. Their most popular song is called "Angels on the Moon" and when they played that everyone screamed in excitement. I love going to concerts. It's just a fun environment and sometimes makes me like the music even more. After the concert was over we hit Denny's because we were all starving! We were so deaf that we were kinda yelling just to hear each other. It was a good time. I'm glad I have sisters that have the same good taste in music as I do!!!!

VD...haha :)
So I don't really love Valentines Day. In fact, it's my least favorite holiday. I call it VD cuz it sounds like how I feel about it...haha! I kinda just feel like you shouldn't need one day to express how you feel about the ones you love. And there is so much pressure to make it all romantic and cute and I hate that. Plus, Valentines day really sucks when you are alone because there is so much focus on it being such a romantic holiday. So....to everyone I love...I love you no matter what day of the year it is!
So....I took the opportunity to mark Valentines Day as another event. I quit smoking on Valentines day. I've done really good so far. I'm hoping that it continues to be easy for me. I figured that it'd be easier to quit while it's cold outside still cuz I hate being cold. So wish me luck with my new adventure! Haha!
